Music at the Coach House

The Coach House is a great space for listening, and is much beloved by musicians that specialise in quiet sounds that require an attentive audience.

There have been numerous improvised music sessions held at the Coach House over the years, including Safehouse open sessions and the annually held March Hare Crossover. The latter is a wonderful long-form musical experiment which has been running since 2012 – participants play in an overlapping format, with four improvising together at any given moment.

Beyond performance, there have been workshops held by international artists such as Maria Chávez, Seijiro Murayama  and Toshimaru Nakamura; and the venue has been used as a recording space, resulting in numerous albums.
